Hazelnut Cookies

Ever since I bought my new oven, I was thinking of making some cookies. so..This is my first try,,It tastes fantastic.. but I am not very happy with the look. Anyway,  this is the first time..

Ingredients

  • Flour - 1 Cup
  • Whole Hazelnut - 1/2 cup
  • Butter - 1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 Cup
  • Coffee Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Baking Powder - a pinch
  • Vanilla Essence - few drops

Dry roast the hazelnut over medium heat.

Grind the roasted hazelnut lightly. The texture should not be very fine.

Take butter and sugar in a bowl and mix then thoroughly.

Add flour, hazelnut powder and coffee powder and mix well.

Add the baking powder and vanilla esence. Now add little amount of milk to make a dough. Keep the dough refrigerated for 1/2 an hour.

Pre-heat the oven to 180 degree C. Pace the baking sheet over your baking tray. Now take small amount of dough, make flat patty using your palm. Place all of them on the baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes. By that time, cookies should get nice brown color. Cool over a wire rack. Relish with a cup of strong coffee.
