Mutton Dilkhush

To add a twist to the taste, added coconut milk at the end of regular mutton curry and 'Dil Khush' ho gaya!  :-)


Ingredients



  • Mutton - 800 gms
  • Potato - 4, halved
  • Onion - 2, chopped, 2 paste
  • Ginger Paste - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  • Green Chilli Paste - 1 tbsp
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Cumin POwder - 1 tsp
  • Coconut Milk - 1 cup
  • Whole Garam Masalas
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Salt, Turmeric, Sugar - 1 tsp each
  • Kaju, Kishmish - 2 tbsp
  • Boiled Egg - 1, for garnishing

Fry the potatoes with salt and turmeric till golden brown and keep aside.


Add oil and ghee in a pan. Then add the chopped onion and fry till golden brown. add the onion paste, garlic, ginger paste and green chilli paste and continue frying.  Add salt, turmeric and cumin powder. When spices are fried well, add the Mutton pieces and continue frying.
When oil comes out of the mutton, add 2 cups of hot water and pressure cook till it becomes soft. Add the potatoes and simmer for some time. Remove from heat and keep aside.


In another pan, heat the remaining ghee and add garam masalas ( Bayleaves, cinnamon, clove, cardamom). Then add the boiled mutton. Add 1 tsp of sugar at this point. Add a cup of coconut milk and  mix well. simmer for 5 minutes.


Add the fried cashew and raisin. Garnish with boiled egg and serve with Roti.
