Chicken Curry

All usual ingredients of a chicken curry, only difference is, made paste of fried onions with curd and used it while cooking.


Ingredients


  • Chicken - 500 gms   
  • Ghee - 1 tbsp
  • Refined Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Onion - 3, chopped
  • Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
  • Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
  • Curd - 100 gms
  • Coriander Powder - 3 tsp
  • Kashmiri Mirch powder - 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 4
  • Garam Masala - 2-3 pieces
  • Salt - as required

Add refined oil and ghee in a kadai and fry the onions till golden brown. Let it cool.


Mix the fried onions with curd and green chilli and make a paste using a mixer.


Add whole garam masala to the hot oil and stir for a minute. Now add the chicken and fry till golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.


Heat the remaining oil in the same kadai and add ginger, garlic paste, coriander powder, chilli powder. Fry for some time till the raw smell is gone. Add the curd, onion paste and fry well.


Now add the chicken and stir fry for 2-3 minutes. Add salt and a cup of hot water. Keep covered and let it cook for 10 minutes or till the chicken is tender.

Sprinkle some garam masala powder before serving.
