I get these nice and juicy pork chops in the super market yesterday and decided to give it a try. Since Football world cup is in full swing now and we all are in front of TV enjoying the late night match, this became the perfect munch while viewing.
Whisk the egg and 2 Tbs. water together in a shallow dish. Mix the flour, salt and pepper in another shallow dish.
Dip the chops in the flour, then over into the egg. Then back over into the flour mixture once again. This is done to ensure an extra crispy coating on the chops.
Pour oil in a flat pan, when it is medium hot, fry the braided chops in batches till golden brown in all sides.
Remove from the pan and put it in baking dish.
Add the butter in another pan and saute the garlic paste. Add the honey, soya sauce, paprika and ginger paste. Bring to a boil then reduce to low and simmer for about 5 minutes. Check the seasoning and add salt if absolutely necessary. Your glaze is ready.
Pour 1/2 of this glaze over the pork chops.
Flip them over and pour the other 1/2 over the other side. Make sure the glaze has coated all the chops evenly.
Preheat the oven at 200 degree C. Bake it for 20 minutes. Flip once. Reduce the temperature to 170 degree C and bake for 5-6 minutes more.
